What makes the
ideal male partner?
Is it someone who
is logical and analytically minded or one who has a softer, more
compassionate side? Highly spirited or calm, cool and collected?
Why do some men need to be punctual and on time, all the time
and yet others are not as concerned about it? Do opposites
really attract or is it safer to heed the old adage: birds
of a feather flock together?
Personality
Spectrum’s online program based on the highly popular True
Colors ® program can help you understand yourself and the men in
your life. Whether you are looking for the perfect partner or
standing by the one true love of your life, the program starts
with the idea that while each of us is unique in our own special
way, there are patterns in the way we operate that can be
grouped into four categories. True Colors® uses Gold, Orange,
Blue and Green to differentiate styles and eliminate a ranking
or perception that one colour is better than the other.
Upon completion of
a short online self-assessment you can determine your
Personality Spectrum by placing the four colours from most like
you to least like you in order. Once your Personality Spectrum
is revealed the attributes representing your highest preference
become your brightest colour. Each of the other colours are
within us however often one colour dominates our style and
preferences. The second colour in your spectrum also gives a
valuable clue to the means by which you express your brightest
colour.
Each personality
style can be characterized as follows…
Gold:
Men who have gold as their brightest colour seek tradition and
their strength is duty. They are loyal and steadfast in their
attitude towards life and approach the day by carefully planning
tasks. They like an organized, efficient environment and see
themselves as responsible and dependable.
Orange: If you
know a man with this brightest colour, he seeks adventure and
his strength is skilfulness. He will seize the day with a
carefree attitude and is independent and easygoing. He likes
action and fun in his relationships and sees himself as
spontaneous and flexible.
Blue:
This man seeks harmony in life and his strength is authenticity.
He is people oriented and likes to connect with others by being
a good listener and helping them grow to their full potential.
He is calm and appreciative as well as being romantic and
caring.
Green:
Competence and knowledge is this man’s strength. He is an
independent thinker and prefers a logical approach to life’s
challenges. He is analytical and a big picture, visionary. He
likes a solid relationship that does not need constant tending.
He’ll say what he means and mean what he says.
If any of these
types sound familiar to you - think about it: Do you prefer
someone who is a lot like you or someone who is different?
Either way, both relationships can be very successful and
loving. The four different personalities become a starting place
for identifying important values when communicating. A deeper
investigation will reveal that all the colours have some things
in common with each other. Finding common ground and celebrating
similarities as well as differences leads to strong bonds and
long lasting relationships.
