From New Age to New Edge |
|
Can we really change
the world without changing ourselves? From New Age to New Edge explores
this question, as it travels to the remote rainforests of western
Canada, where a revolution is in the making. Here, the face of
environmental activism is going through radical changes, as it dovetails
with the personal growth movement. So far, it's been a winning
combination: it has kept chainsaws away from one of the largest
remaining stands of old-growth forest on the planet. |

White Hot Winter
|
It’s
no secret that Canada has some of the roughest winter weather
anywhere, but Canadians have come to realize that if we are to
survive the long and frigid winter months we have to embrace
them. Each ½ hour episode will focus on a particular area and
discover what makes each one a unique travel experience.
Snow shoeing, cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice climbing,
ice skating, kayaking and mountain biking - these are just a few
of the activities we have planned. We will play old-fashioned
shinny in the Rocky Mountains and learn how to mush with a team
huskies in the BC wilderness. We will experience slope side
nightlife and examine the latest ski and snowboarding equipment.
We will even visit a winter spa or two along the way as well. |
