This training focuses on causes of youth homelessness, benefits of yoga for young people, realities of living homeless, and appropriate asanas and sequences. The New Brunswick Environmental Network
An affiliate of the Canadian Environmental Network, the New Brunswick Environmental Network (NBEN) includes over 70 non-profit citizens’ environmental groups from across the province. The NBEN has three bilingual Web sites including: Elements Online Environmental Magazine, an award-winning bimonthly electronic magazine; the NBEN Homepage, which features the latest news on environmental issues and information on the activities of various NBEN action groups; and FaxAction, the only one of its kind in the Maritimes. HANS was first created in 1984 as a resource for gathering and providing information on health options for consumers. College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of B.C.
The CTCMA is an official body established in 2000 by the provincial government to regulate the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture. It is designed to protect the public by establishing a system of mandatory registration in which practitioners have to meet the standards in TCM and acupuncture established by the College. The self-regulatory body is an expansion of the original College of Acupuncturists of B.C., which was created in 1996. Qualified TCM practitioners will be designated as: Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Dr. of TCM), or Registered TCM practitioner (R.TCM.P), or Registered TCM herbalist (R.TCM.H) or Registered Acupuncturist (R.Ac.).
